About The Barrel House

This unique entertainment experience is new to downtown Lawrence. Located 729 New Hampshire, this dueling piano bar is over 5,000 square feet and can accommodate up to 389 people. The Barrel House name comes from underground clubs in the 40's and 50's that were known as "Barrel Houses". These clubs were typically jazz clubs, that had improv piano playing.

The concept of The Barrel House dueling piano bar consists of a rotation of three A-list piano players who take the stage each night on two baby grand pianos. They do a two man rotation every hour to keep you entertained while using their talented voices and wit. All three of them will also come together several times throughout the night to play songs filled with more instruments and more energy.

These piano players know hundreds of songs from every era imaginable. From The Beatles to Beyonce, U2 to Usher, AC/DC to Alan Jackson, they've got it covered. Other popular selections include Frank Sinatra, Elton John, Billy Joel, Dave Matthews, Michael Jackson, Journey, Better Than Ezra, Pat Green, Aerosmith, Eagles, even the most popular SNL skits and many many more.
